Cartier Santos Octagon Ghost

Cartier Santos Octagon ref. 2966, Large Model (LM/GM) in steel & yellow gold, late 1980s–1990s. Historical note: the Octagon branch of the Santos family introduced an eight-sided bezel with screw motif and an integrated bracelet for a crisper, more geometric look.

This example is defined by a slate-grey “Ghost” dial—a naturally matured surface—set off by gilt printing that ties in with the gold elements. Topped by a sapphire crystal and powered by Cartier’s cal. 090 automatic, it wears smart and understated; the two-tone construction moves easily from casual to tailored.

Condition: good vintage with light, even signs of age and coherent patina across bezel and dial; crisp case geometry. On its original integrated two-tone Cartier bracelet. Supplied with Cartier box (no papers).
