Cartier Santos XL

The Santos has been part of Cartier's catalog in various forms since 1904, but the 2018 redesign brought meaningful updates: a refined case profile, the QuickSwitch interchangeable bracelet system, and SmartLink adjustment that removes the need for tools. Reference WSSA0037, introduced in 2023, is the large model fitted with a gray dial, a darker and more contemporary alternative to the traditional silvered or blue executions, and one of the more discreetly modern configurations in the current Santos lineup.

This particular example dates to 2023 and comes in the 39.8mm stainless steel case, powered by the in-house automatic caliber 1847 MC. The watch is offered with its original Cartier box, though the original papers are not present.

The case retains its original brushed and polished finishing, with the contrast between the satin-finished bezel and polished case sides clearly defined. The gray dial is in excellent state, with crisp white Roman numerals, the inner railroad minute track, and the date aperture at six o'clock all presenting cleanly. The polished sword-shaped hands are unmarked and remain perfectly aligned. The case shows minor signs of wear consistent with regular use. Professional polishing can be arranged free of charge upon request.

The watch is fitted on its original Cartier steel bracelet with the QuickSwitch system, allowing tool-free removal, and includes the SmartLink mechanism for at-home sizing. The bracelet shows minimal stretch and presents tightly.
