Rolex Datejust
Reference 16030, produced through the late 1970s and into the 1980s, brought the calibre 3035 to the steel Rolex Datejust, the movement that introduced Rolex's high-beat quickset date. This is the configuration that defined the modern Datejust for a generation. A 36mm Oyster case with an engine turned bezel, the date at three under the cyclops, and the unmistakable Jubilee bracelet. It remains one of the most wearable expressions of the reference.
The choco-grey dial has a plain finish, a tone that shifts with the light and sits cleanly against the polished steel. Applied baton indices and matching hands keep it uncluttered. The five-link Jubilee bracelet closes on a polished stainless steel folding clasp carrying the Rolex crown. A restrained, confident Datejust that works with anything, formal or casual.
This example returned from a full service at an official Rolex service centre in 2025, accompanied by the service card with warranty valid through June 2027. The dial is well-preserved and in clean condition. It comes complete with its original Rolex box. The case shows minor signs of wear consistent with regular use. Professional polishing can be arranged free of charge upon request.
