The Rolex Day-Date 18238 (1991) delivers the classic 36 mm President in solid 18k yellow gold with the movement upgrade of its era: calibre 3155 featuring independent quick-set for both day and date.
This example is distinguished by a factory “Beyeler” birchwood dial with factory-set brilliant-cut diamonds at the hours. The wooden surface remains flat and clean with no cracks, which is very unique for the wood dials from this period. The fluted bezel is sharp, the sapphire with Cyclops is clear, and the case retains crisp lugs. Inside runs the high-beat cal. 3155 (28,800 vph, double quick-set).
Delivered on a leather strap with a Rolex buckle. On request and at additional cost, the watch can be supplied on a matching President bracelet. Accompanied by a brown Rolex leather box (no papers).
