Chopard St. Moritz "Ghost"
Brushed steel and polished 18k yellow gold alternate along the bracelet of this vintage Chopard St. Moritz, reference 8024. The same pairing carries up into the case, where an 18k yellow gold bezel frames the steel body. At 24mm it is sized as a ladies' watch, and this example dates from the 1980s.
Inside the gold bezel sits a grey dial set with diamonds, which add small points of light to the cool grey. Matching hands and a flat date window keep the layout clear. The watch comes with its box.
The dial shows uneven spotting and discolouration, which gives the grey a mottled tone. Most of the wear sits on the bracelet, with dings and scuffs on the polished gold centre links, light scratches on the brushed steel links and scuffs on the end link. There are some dents, and the case back has light surface scratches. The case shows minor signs of wear consistent with regular use.
