Chopard St.Moritz
Born in 1980 as Chopard's first sports watch, the St.Moritz was conceived by a young Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who wanted a steel piece with the integrated-bracelet attitude of the era while keeping the refinement of a gold house. Its signature is the bezel, secured by exposed screws that anchor the design and give the case its purposeful look. This reference 8024 marries steel with 18k gold, the two-tone treatment that gave the St.Moritz its dressier register.
This is the compact 24mm version, its white dial kept plain and legible, with mixed indices and matching baton hands above a flat date window. The factory-set diamond bezel adds a touch of quiet luxury, the gemstones catching the light beneath the sapphire crystal. Steel and gold play across the case beneath that crystal, the screwed bezel framing the dial while the signed crown sits ready at the side. The watch runs on the quartz ETA 956.112 calibre and comes on its steel bracelet, closed by a two-tone deployant clasp in steel and gold.
The bracelet links carry light surface scratches, the honest trace of a watch that has been worn and enjoyed rather than shelved. The white dial remains clean and well preserved, and the two-tone case keeps its St.Moritz character intact. The case shows minor signs of wear consistent with regular use.
