Rolex Datejust
The Rolex Datejust ref. 1600 from 1971 distills the model’s essence into a clean 36 mm steel case with a smooth bezel. Historical note: within the 16xx family, the 1600 is the smooth-bezel counterpart to the fluted 1601 and engine-turned 1603 of the late 1960s–early 1970s.
This example features a subtle grey dial with applied batons, an acrylic crystal with Cyclops, and the dependable Rolex cal. 1570 automatic. Condition is strong and coherent: sharp case lines, clean dial, smooth crown/date operation. It is currently fitted to a Rolex Oyster bracelet ref. 78360, adding a versatile, sport-elegant feel and comfortable daily wear.
