Rolex Datejust YG Onyx
Rolex Datejust ref. 1601/8, 1973, 36 mm in 18k yellow gold. Ref. 1601 is a core 1960s–1970s Datejust with fluted bezel and plexiglass; this example is a Datejust fitted with a natural onyx dial. The “T SWISS T” printing at six distinguishes original factory dials from later service variants.
Condition: even case wear with readable fluting; plexiglass is clean. Original onyx dial (not a service replacement) with a small, barely visible edge flaw at the top. Dial and hands are non-luminous. Inside beats the automatic Rolex cal. 1570; Rolex service 09/2025. On a black leather strap with Rolex buckle. Watch only.
