The Rolex Day-Date 18038 (1987) captures the sweet spot of the classic 36 mm President while introducing two key upgrades of its era: a sapphire crystal and the calibre 3055 with quick-set date.

This example stands out with a white “pyramid” dial—a crisp, architectural texture—paired with factory Arabic calendar discs (Arabic day wheel and numeral date). The fluted 18k bezel remains sharp, the sapphire crystal with Cyclops is clear, and the case retains strong lugs. Inside runs the cal. 3055 (28,800 vph, quick-set date). The watch benefits from a complete service in 2024.
