On a vintage Lady-Datejust of this small format, much of the visual interest comes from the metalwork itself rather than from any added complication, which is why the two-tone 69173 with a factory diamond dial remains one of the more appealing configurations of the reference.

A Rolex screw-down crown sits alongside the case, and the Jubilee bracelet fastens with a steel folding clasp. The gold centre links of the bracelet have developed a rich patina with pronounced darkening, giving their surface a distinctly aged tone across the length of the bracelet.
